Group 2-Day Desert Tour From Marrakech To Zagora

Your day will start at 7:30 am when our driver will meet you at your accommodation. You will head directly south through several Berber villages and the Tizi-n-Tichka pass at an altitude of over 2200m. As there is a magnificent view overlooking the high Atlas Mountains, it is a chance to take out your camera and take beautiful souvenir photos. You can also rest by taking a coffee break. First stop, you will arrive at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, where you will explore the fortress and the region, which served as the sets for several famous Hollywood films and advertising campaigns. You can even take advantage of a guided group tour to learn more about the history of the region. Then you will have a one-hour free break for lunch and rest. Afterwards, you will continue to Ouarzazate crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains until you reach the oasis of Agdz. This is where a series of stunning natural landscapes will begin that you will admire on the way to Draa Valley with its fortified Kasbahs and oases dotted with hundreds of thousands of date palms. Namely, that Draa is the largest palm grove in Morocco. At the end of the afternoon, you will arrive in Zagora where a caravan will be waiting for you to leave for an hour of camel ride to admire the magnificent sunset. Know that, unlike Merzouga, there are no dunes in Zagora. By camel ride also, you will return to the luxurious camp, which is in the middle of nowhere to enjoy a good traditional Moroccan dinner served around a campfire and a Bedouin atmosphere. Dinner will be followed by a folklore show of local music and singing that will last until midnight. Then it is up to you to enjoy the soothing calm and the starry sky before spending your night in a tent.

For your second day, do not miss the chance to wake up early and admire the sunrise. Then you will have your breakfast and you will leave by camel ride to join your driver on the main road. You will continue to Ouarzazate where you will take a break for lunch and visit the Kasbah Taourirt (optional, depending on the schedule, entrance fees apply). In the afternoon, you will begin your return to Marrakech by crossing the Atlas Mountains a second time.
